On-Farm Intern | Off-Farm Intern

Positions

On-farm internship (one intern or two interns if the applicants are co-habitating as a couple)
Off-farm internship, meaning the interns must provide their own housing (looking for 2 - 3)

Job Description

On-farm internship is full–time, 40 - 45 hours.
Off-farm internship is part-time, 20 - 25 hours.

For the serious beginner(s) with ambition…
Interns will be part of all aspects of production including soil blocking, bed preparation, direct seeding, transplanting, harvesting, and post-harvest handling. There is potential for an eventual management position. Some practical experience in gardening and/or any type of farm labor is preferred but not required.

Compensation

Stipend $150, negotiable with experience
Plus vegetables

Housing

If you are hired as our on-farm intern, you will live free of charge in your very own 1976 motor home! Not glamorous, but private.
If you are hired as an off-farm intern, you must already be living nearby or will want to find housing in a nearby town likef Manteno (10 minutes away) or Bourbonnais. You will be responsible for your own rent.
